About The Rover P6 Club

rp6c logo The Rover P6 Club

The Club was born in 1993 under the name of The Rover P6 Drivers Club and in 2013 celebrates it's 20th birthday just as our beloved P6's celebrates the 50th anniversary since the launch and start of production cars. Now just as The Rover Company stayed on the cutting edge of modern developments, so to the Club has moved into the 21st century and in 2005 the Club was re-branded as THE ROVER P6 CLUB because it was felt that we were more than just drivers, we are drivers, owners and enthusiasts, keen to preserve a piece of Great deals on your car insurance with ChurchillBritish Heritage, and we remain the only specialist P6 Club which is run by an enthusiastic committee of volunteers who own and drive Rover P6 cars and who have a wealth of technical know how.

Your guide to maintaining the look of your classic car

Classic car owners, whether they have a Rover P6 or an MG Midget, do not need to be told to take care of their pride and joy. Nonetheless, if you're new to the ownership game and manage to get a classic motor from new and used car dealers around the country, you will ensure your investment is a worthwhile one by following these top tips. While you may believe that cleaning and detailing a car is simply about washing and waxing it, certain practices may lead to degradation.

How Many P6's still exist?

RP6C 2012 P6 CENSUS Thanks to the DVLA in the UK we now have an approximate figure for the number of P6's still known to exist on their system for UK registered cars. We have combined the statistics that the DVLA have produced for 2010 of vehicles registered in the years our P6's were first registered by models, that are now Licensed and on SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification). Unfortunately this figure doesn't account for P6's that are 'unlicensed' in the UK, according to DVLA. Unlicensed means cars that were purchased before and not licensed at the time when SORN was introduced in the UK and have not been licensed since or haven't changed hands since SORN was introduced. The figures also don't allow for P6's that exist outside of the UK. The table is here and if you click on it, you will be re-directed to the gallery and a bigger version or you can download the pdf below .

That said we would like to hear from anyone who knows of any P6's which are still about anywhere in the world, for the 2012 P6 CENSUS, so please send the details to the RP6C EMAIL THE RP6C You can just email us the registration number or you could email us a picture, either way, we will run the checks to see which catagory it falls into. And please be assured we are not trying to catch anyone out, we are just trying to get a true figure of how many P6's are still existance woldwide. We welcome details from anywhere around the world, whether the car is scrap or alive, we want to know if it still exists.  Since starting this CENSUS of P6's, it has now been specifically extended to all P6's worldwide, so that we can generate a stats by country, so please send us details of ALL KNOWN P6's that still exist where ever they be and if you could please include registration number, chassis number and country, if all else fails please email a picture of the car and we can add it to the CENSUS or at the very minimum verify our existing information. Hopefully by mid 2012 we will have an accurate count of how many P6's are still surviving (regardless of condition) WORLDWIDE. The Great P6 CENSUS starts here. so please send the details to the RP6C EMAIL THE RP6C The DVLA 2010 UK tables are below.
